Hi Everyone! Here we have an oldie but a goodie! This is an illustration Carlos did in school, when we were first learning how to paint with Photoshop. I thought it would be suitable for "Craving" because the characters seem to be craving a bit of danger with their ice cream!
So it's been a while since I've done any faerie artwork, but I am totally inspired by the season to start it up again. Here's the first go. She's not completely finished because of the time constraints, but I like her so far!
Inspired by recently discovering that our daughter is a tween. The celebration is represented by the tween girl mentality. This is not a direct portrait of her, but is definitely inspired by some tween issues we have been dealing with lately! It is not easy being a parent, and there is always something to be learned on both sides. I'd love to hear some comments on people who can relate!
I don't know her story, maybe you can come up with a good one. This drawing started off as a version of Snow White, but then I didn't feel like making her hair black or her lips blood red. I think I was channeling my inspiration from some of Jasmine Becket-Griffith's recent color schemes. I really like the soft ethereal effect on this. I think I may use it again.
